I rode with a few friends yesterday. Marc was on his KLX250, Shawn on his DR350 and Kent I were on our KLR650s.

I had a fairly rotten time on Foothills road due to very slimy mud. There are few things I hate more than the feeling I get when the front end of my 400+ pound, very top heavy, KLR is washing out. Two years ago I went down very hard on the same road surface conditions and my ribs start to hurt just thinking about it. I’m done with Shinko 244 tires on the front of the KLR. I ordered a Pirelli XCMH front tire last night. I have the same thing on my WR450 and it grips like Velcro off pavement compared to the 244 and is also DOT legal.

Later in the day other guys wanted to check out the Liberty Lake ORV park. Great more mud! I was up there 2 weeks ago on an actual dirt bike and had trouble hooking up. No thanks! I hung out in the parking lot and shot the bull with some arena cross racers that were taking a break from practicing while Marc, Shawn & Kent headed up to the mud fest. My hat is off to Kent for taking his KLR up there this time of year.

I may go for a short ride this afternoon. I certainly need to hit a carwash if nothing else.

The Superbug and I went for a short ride this morning (22 miles). It sure felt good to be out on a bike, too bad I'm going to work in 30 minutes or I would have done more. Overtime this time of year is a good thing - it gives me the money to play later.

I got another ride in tonight. It was my first chance to test the 10 watt eBay LED light pods I recently installed on totally dark roads.
Pic was taken yesterday

They have pretty impressive light output for amount of power they consume. I also used my helmet mounted 12 watt LED spotlight. I was able to see deer in fields 50 feet or more from the road. I'm not sure if it legal to ride on public roads with a bright spotlight on your helmet but since this one is intended for bicycles, and the law says I have to share the road with bicycles, I’m gonna say it's ok.

This happened. Back in September, about 1 week after I got my 2013 BMW F8. ~65 mph collision with it's ass end.

Found some new ground on the klx yesterday after a couple hours of exploration.
Then grabbed my buddy who blew up his CRF a couple years ago and let him ride the klx while I was on the kx out at 7 mile today. Pretty busy out there! I think it was the motivation he needed to rebuild the head eater

Holy crap, good thing you're still walking. I've got those silly deer whistles on my bike. Too many close calls in my car.

Is the snow gone from 7-mile or were you guys out playing in the snow? I was out there a couple weeks ago and it was still well covered in the white stuff.
