There isn't any dirt involved at this time of the year but you could run all the way down to st. maries then up the east side of Coeur d' Alene lake.

That's the loose plan I'm going with tomorrow, 95 south to St Maries, up and back on the St Joe river, then follow the squiggly line that's the97 back up to the 90. Should be fun.

Hey Nathan, glad you stopped by the shop yesterday. It was good talking to you. Funny you should know someone that my son knows. Small world.
I will get ahold of you tomorrow sometime. I can take you on some backroads that start at the end of my driveway. Then back to my house for a beer.

I tried that dirt loop you and your brother suggested, it was muddy and fun, but I got stopped by a downed tree on the road. I tried to go around it, then over it, but the bike was too heavy to get it passed by myself...Times like those I really wish I still had my XR400. A log like that would have been no problem, and even fun. So I backtracked and went into St Maries. I did find a 13 mile dirt loop near there, and then ran up the 97. With roads like these I didn't mind being stuck on the pavement, that road is SUPER FUN! Traffic was very light, and the asphalt was clean, but wet in some spots. I pushed my 50/50 tires to their traction limit and it had me

I was thinking of heading down to McCroskey State Park. Does anyone know if the main road though the park is free of snow yet?

Anyone know a shop that has tires in stock and is open today (Sunday)? I've got less than an inch of belt showing, but my car is out of commission right now, and I need to get to work Monday. Obviously not willing to drive on that hazard, I need it replaced asap!

Cycle Gear on Sprague might be able to help you out.

Yeah, was going to hit up cycle gear if there weren't other options, I don't have the ability to balance the tire myself, unless they do that?

Tire balancing is over rated!

I honestly never thought about it, but does Walmart carry bike tires? You might be hard pressed to find anywhere open on Easter.

I have never balanced a bike tire in my life, and have never had a problem. Floorpoor and I are headed out for a ride today. Taking some back roads from Rockford to Plummer, then over plummer mt to Fairfield, then to Steptoe Butte.

That sounds like nice ride. I have to work on my truck today. Oh well, at least I can take a the KLR out when I run for parts and grab some lunch.

Need help finding a NX250 local

Hello Fellow Spokanites,

I am on the hunt for a Honda NX250 Dual sport. Any condition running or not but must be complete and hopefully located locally.

Anyone know of one in the area?

Thanks and happy Easter.

Dan

Didn't realize I was in a minority about balancing, hah. Well, crap. Might have to try and drive my car tomorrow. They've only got a Dunlop Q2 in my size at cycle gear, used them before and didn't like it.

The Toomer lives again!I was too cheap too spend the $600 () for the 950 starter clutch-it's attached to the whole alternator rotor. A little research, and a replacement part from a 640 Adv slotted right in. $70 and a couple gaskets and off to the races!

I'm heading out for a "shakedown" spin. No idea where I'm going. I'm new here, so yeah, literally. No idea where I'm going.
