"Granny's Pantys" was in one of the reviews as what one family calls it although Junior proclaiming he wants to try Granny's Pantys makes me wonder about the boy.

I've been there a few times and liked the food fine. No matter where we chose to go there will alway be a better place.

We'll stick with Granny's Pantys for Sat. and try the Breakfast Nook another time.

One of the main things I look for when choosing a place to meet is some where with enough room and isn't super busy where they are trying to rush you out. Granny's is a laid back type of place where a group of motorcyclists tromping in wearing gear won't be a problem.

Anyone else have suggestions for meet up places? Throw them out and we'll start hitting them. It's a good reason to get together. We can do breakfast, lunch or dinner depending on where the place is. Know of a good cafe we can use as a lunch destination? Or even a dinner destination? Throw out some suggestions.

-Otis Grill (Liberty Lake area)
-Satellite Diner (Downtown Spokane...best place EVER but just street parking)
-Selkirk Brewery (Old highway (Seltice) between PF and Huetter) Not a lot of food available but an awful cool little place to gather and hang out for a bit.
-Capone's (Post Falls)
-Kelly's (CDA)

Diamond Lie thanks for jumping in there with some ideas.

The Meet-up location list has started. Keep them coming and I will keep a list of the suggestions and we'll start visiting some of these places.

AirheadBruce, I know you have a number of good ideas for places throw out some more.

Any ideas for funky/interesting destination cafes/bars with food. Many bars have good food like Frednecks in Rockford and that is always on the list.

Reservoirs and channeled scab lands and dams, oh my!

I'm going on a ride Sunday (6/30) with plans to visit the confluence of the Spokane and Columbia rivers, the Grand Coulee Dam, and Banks Lake. It's going to be roughly a 300 mile asphalt loop with one free ferry ride.

There's going to be some cool rocks and geology stuff along the way, too! Evidence of the most recent ice age (10,000 years ago), and lots of landscapes that were carved out by the Missoula Floods (15,000 to 13,000 years ago). I spent most of this year seeing this stuff in textbooks, and now it's time for a field trip.

Sometimes it may be necessary to stop and take pictures of rocks.

This is the planned route. If anyone wants to join me, you can meet me at the W Northwest Blvd Zip's at 8:45, KSU at 9:30. I'll be there on my big, ugly Triumph.

Any plans for the first week of July? We'll be in the area for a family rebellion from about July 3rd to about the 9th, would love an excuse to sneak away on the bike for some food and a ride...

Following the Coeur d’ Alene river is always fun no matter what time of year

We headed to Settlers_Grove to take a walk

We almost made it to the trailhead before we were stopped by snow. We were close enough to walk in so no problem.

Eagle creek was high, flowing hard but yet extremely clear. The snow melt had the water a nice shade of blue.

Lots of things to look at in the grove

After the walk in the cedar grove we went to the Sprag Pole for lunch. Yum.

The ride back along the river was just as nice as it was that morning but this just looked cold to me.

It was a nice day riding with a good friend.

Looks pretty familiar. Made almost the exact same trip today but also went into Wallace and then over Moon Pass to Avery. Nice riding and I ate so much at the Spragpole I am skipping dinner tonight!

The Kelly Cafe in one of those little Towns between Spokane and Pullman has some good food.

I'll try and make breakfast, but no ride for me, only have a street machine right now.

Took my daughter first her first ride in the hack. She loved it! So the two of us will try to get to Granny's Pantry by 9 on Sat. Sorry, but can't follow up with a dirt ride. The hack is all asphalt. If anyone is willing to donate a nice DS to the Old Fart Charity, I'd love to get back on the gravel some time soon.

We can probably do a meetup during that time although many people might be out of town since for some people it's a long weekend or at least they can make it a long weekend by taking a day off. What works for you; breakfast, lunch or dinner?

Always a nice ride and Spragpole is certainly a fun place to stop for a meal.

Kelly Cafe is now on the list. So far it's looking like most people are in for breakfast. With the forecast for a hot weekend I don't know if anyone will be looking for dirt. Do try to make it for breakfast there are a few people with street bikes and who know maybe a street ride will happen.

It'll be nice to see you and meet your daughter. Looks like it's time for you to buy another bike.
