I'm going riding today. We have been in Yuma AZ since Thursday and its been to hot to ride. Low to mid 90's.

Maybe you should ride at night Tim. I heard that is the only time many bicycle riders ride down there. In the summer anyway. I read this when researching LED bike lights.

Glad Murph is home safe Marc. I figured that was the case. That dog sure did look like him but it didn't make sense. I didn't see any nearby houses and the dog was just walking right down the center of the highway (Chattaroy-Dennison Rd.). When I honked my horn he (or she) turned around and gave me a look like "what's your hurry dude" then moseyed over to the shoulder.

Took a ride out into the desert to see the solar panel field. It produces power for 8,500 people.

Then down through the wash to the RC airfield. There were about 10 guys out flying today.

We are leaving Yuma AZ on Saturday and heading north. I am bringing all my riding gear back with me, so if the weather gets nicer in the next couple of weeks, we should meet up at Frednecks for lunch and go for a ride.

I'm up for meeting you for lunch at Frednecks but I doubt that I will be getting my bikes out for awhile.

Enjoy the AZ heat and give your dad a big hug for me.

I will Sherry, the only reason we are staying here so long is Dad is in Florida right now and won't be back till Thursday and we wanted to see him before we left. We should be back there by the 27th or 28th.

What kind of fuel range do you have with that tank and what is the capacity?

Thanks Rick, the only mod was the rims. Rotors and sprocket were a swap from the SM rims. I love this bike and yes, same SM bike.
The tank is and IMS 4.2 gallon tank. Problem is, no access to the last gallon of fuel. I ran out this summer, and even tipping the bike over to get gas to the other side, I made it about a mile farther. Then pushed it a mile to the gas station. I need to start looking for a gas station around 170 miles, depending on how fast I'm riding.

Thanks BR, just ordered some carbon fiber frame guards a few days ago. What part of Idaho are you from?

I had to run for some groceries yesterday, so I decided to bundle up and take the 919. There was so much gravel on the road, I couldn't have any fun. Plus, I realized half way there I was on expired tags, so I didn't want to attract any unnecessary attention. Feeling unsatisfied, I took the 400 out for a dirty spin when I got home. The patches of dirt I could find that weren't covered in snow were just 1/2" of mud on ice and made it hard to stay upright. Winter sucks.
