Well, if anyone is interested, I'll probably leave at 9, Easter Sunday. Be prepared for 250ish miles from Spokane Valley and back, and a bit of dirt. I'm not sure what the route will be yet, but I do like those summer roads and such. Since I'm a newbie to the area, expect to maybe not take the most efficient route, for a variety of reasons. .

If I wasn't a non-believer, I'd trot out the old saw about preferring to be on my bike thinking about God than sitting in church, thinking about my bike. Me, I just hope it'll be a relatively traffic free day, and cooperative weather.

Big bike and newbie friendly, as always. Yeah, I've been known to exploit the strengths of the bike I ride, but I can ride, ummm, slower too.

As for a meetup spot, I'm thinking the Winco parking lot right down the street from me, on Sprague in the Valley..

Man, that's early! Long as I'm in good health you know you can count me in Feike. Normal fuel stop after ride begins?

I would be interested in a ride Sunday. I need to be back in Post Falls by 2. Family picnic. Let me know what you have in mind.

Ummm, I thought the entire point of my post was to let you know what I had in mind....

As for being back by 2, not likely on this ride. I don't know where you reside, but from my house it's 120-odd miles to the Falls. That makes for a 250ish mile ride. 2 1/2-3 hours down, lunch, gas stops, etc., we're probably not going to return to the Valley before 5.

But, it oughta be a great view!

I don't think Steve caught that you were planning on going to Palouse Falls, had to check the previous page for that. Without reading back a page or so, your post sounded like you were just going for an undetermined as of yet ride.

Yep, I finally did. I got a deal I couldn't pass up on Vstrom. I kept the Nighthawk for a bit over a year riding both of them but after I messed up my back it wasn't nearly as comfortable as my Strom. I sold her to a friend so I still get to see her every once and a while though!

Looking back, I guess it was a bit ambiguous. I said I was heading to Palouse Falls, then Ladybug asked for more details.

I just jumped in mid-conversation As much as I would like to join up for the ride, the weekend is looking bleak as far as riding time right now..

Looks as if I might be able to make it for a Sunday ride if the invite is still open. Would be coming down from Priest. Any idea as to which way you are headed out of town?
