Just sat on a 1190 Adventure and an R today. Got to say, if I won the lottery tomorrow I'd probably buy an R. Might have to shave the seat a little, but for how light it feels, I'm not terribly intimidated on my toes.

CDA Powersports? Ask 'em...Mike and/or his sales crew will gladly let you take one for a test ride.

On second thought maybe you shouldn't do that if you don't have the $$ in your checking account!

Actually, KTM place on Sprague. I don't plan on taking a test ride till I have financing figured out. Don't want to ruin my ability to have fun on my bikes. But they did a terrific job this year, I'm very impressed.

Come on...One little ride never hurt anybody. Did a test ride at CDA Powersports a few weeks ago. Would have to agree with Cycle World on this one.

You've got that right! I became the "unwilling" owner of a 2013 DL650A last November after laying it down on my test ride. Not reccommned. The filpside is that I now have the bike I always wanted, and am only a loan payment poorer every month. It's just money. I really hope to join one of this groups' rides soon. Just went to Palouse Falls myself a couple weeks ago, but came home via the little town of Asotin at the far SE corner of the state. Gorgeous.

I am curious if anyone here is going to the Gorge Rally over Labor Day weekend? I'll be camping at Memaloose State Park and commuting to the fairgrounds south of Hood River. It'll be my first "rally". Wish I could make the Wallowa meet, but can't.

Hey Jeremy,

Just read your crash report. Least you got one of the new Stroms! I do quite like the 2012+ models. Tried to get one from the Spokane dealer myself earlier this year, but wasn't able to get the loan. Something about not having enough debt... It was pretty ridiculous reasoning to say the least.

Try and join us on a ride soon! I'm on an '05 DL650 myself and can keep up with the group just fine.

Short vacation

I'm leaving Port Townsend for vacation the last ten days in May. I'll be in Tonasket for two days, near Kettle Falls for two days, then down to the Palouse. I'm looking for some points of interest, nothing to wild since it's just going to be me. Any thoughts or "must see" spots?

If anyone likes great cinnamon buns and good company, folks from the Inland Norwest BWM Riders group meet at the Rising Sun Bakery every Saturady morning at 9 a.m. All are welcome. The Rising Sun is located on N. Wall St. between Wellesley and Francis.

They allow BMW's at that BWM get together?

No seriously...do they then go for rides or is this just a coffee talk event?

Depends on weather...in the sunnier times of the year, rides often take place afterward. We only had two riders today, due to fear of rain. Most of these guys stay on asphalt for their rides, but several are looking for other DSers.

Come on down and try it out.
