Sullivan Lake ~ Metaline Falls ~ Boundary Dam

Beautiful day to ride... nice to be along this route as there were patches of coolness that made it bearable.... just under 200 miles (a long way to go on the narrow seat of a KLX250!)

Rode up through Fertile Valley and met up with the gang.

L-R: BigJer, Ladybug, Lamotovita.

Took the LeClerc Road North, then a left and around the corner... slid to a stop for these:

Stopped at the North end for a break.

Took a little hike to the "Dog" swim area:

Metaline Falls, Catherine's:

On to the dam which is just 2 miles shy of the Canadian border.

Park and walk.

Found a Forest Queen's seat cut out of a dead stump.... lo n' behold a Ladybug Queen!!!

ADVers can ride and hike

Great Ride! Let's do it again, but head East Or over Jerry's way!out

Yep, that would be mine, I have had about 40,000 happy miles on it and I hope you have the same with yours.

Hi Live2Ride

PNWbuttercup, Lamotovita, & Big Jer

We started our ride with being stopped by construction on the bridge. Lamotovita in the lead, PNWbutterccup, and Big Jer behind me in my mirror.

At Sullivan Lake

Riding along Sullivan Lake was very pleasant

Metalline Falls, WA

Where we had lunch

PNWbuttercup gets to be queen for a few minutes too.

Inside the visitor center. Its a very nice place but there isnt even a sign on the highway indicating its there.

Big Jer It was fun trying to get this pic. Every time I lifted my camera to get the shot he would turn his head to see what I was taking a picture of.

Thanks PNWbuttercup for getting me out for a ride.

I think we need to do this again! But maybe head EAST from Sullivan Lake... does anybody know the way? Or who cares let's get lost?

I have my new and "Enhanced" D.L. so I can cross the border !!! Canada, Hwy 3 would be a cool ride! Stay overnight in Nelson?
