I'd go with the split tanks. In addition to the ideas already brought up, I'd add that it may help with install/removal????
Just make fit a Super Enduro also!!!

Just in case you haven't noticed a bit of a pattern here I'd like to say SPLIT THEM !! Then I may even consider forking out some coin

Looks like I'll be splitting them. Pity tho - I like the idea of a unified tank, but the practicalities are just that, any damage would lose fuel from both and repair/replacement would cost a fair bit more. It will also require another fuel filler and thus will need to be recessed. Thats a PITA. Back to the shed - dust man.......

Hi Vicks,

Yep progress is my middle name. Did I mention there are moulds being made at this very moment.

And just for shits and giggles I made a front screen that has a air intake that channels air in from above the headlight to the rear of the screen at the top to reduce the vacuum that screens produce. Actually works pretty well - but thats just a side giggle thats in testing atm.

Now back to those tanks - the plugs turned out great (think computer screen smooth). Ill be taking a little time to make sure the moulds are rock solid and accurately represent the parts as best as I can. I expect a set on my bike in about 6 weeks all things going well. Yes a finished set - AT LAST...

So I'll have my incantation of the 950R tanks, CF bashie and a much quieter screen (again in CF for blingness). A silver/orange paint job, GPR/AKRA exhaust system and the 950 will be a good knock off of a 950R..

What will I do then

Once the moulds are done making the parts will be relatively easy - but its having the moulds that takes the time (a little too long in this instance)

Are you making your new CF windscreen shorter than stock (along with the air flow mod) or will it be of the same height ? pictures pleeeeasee....

The screen is a litle shorter - but not much (20mm). Its thinner from just above the dash panel tho which helps a lot. Pics eh - well where is that camera???? Ive never been able to get pics to upload her even with the great tutelage of you guys, will put some up on picasa this arvo.

Hmmm.. 20mm lower. What do you mean by thinner from just above the dash panel ? does it mean its narrower cos thinner material might not go well ?
