Looked like another day hard at work around the coffee pot!

gee whiz....think it took longer to post those pics than it did to walk around and take 'em!

... good thing I'm getting paid to sit around that coffee pot today....

Is it just me?...or has anybody else ever noticed how low the clouds always seem up north?

Never really thought about it as a kid but, going back now as an adult it's one of the things that always grabs my attention.















Rolling into the city of Ely....billed as 'the end of the road'



For many Ely is the entry point for canoeing the 'Boundry Waters'











Now MN 1 was known as one of the great motorcycle roads of the North. Rumor had it that was about to change and I wanted to go see for myself.

There was plenty of room to get around that sign......but how far would I be able to go..workers or not, sometimes they can be nice to bikes and let you through.

A moment of silence was observed for the death of sport riding in Minnesota......

There are numerous creek and rivers that feed into Lake Superior....I think this was the Cross River.

This was next.















There were some patches of dark clouds forming but I braved the climb away from the lake anyway...















It cleared up some as I rode inland...and it got a little bit twisty too.
