p.s. no more pepper...added some water a couple of rides ago and I can still smell the leak but it's not losing much so I've been lazy about doing anything more about it.

It was too chilly here this week to feel like going out for too long of a ride...but a neighborhood spin on the CT70 yesterday had me thinking about exploring some local trails on the old DR650 now that hunting season is over....

I steer clear of gates and postings but still it seems that anytime ya venture down a little nondescript quad track you end up at somebody's deer stand.

...a food plot had been planted in this little clearing and it was full of big turkeys when I pulled up, look to the edge of the woods and you may still see a few.

I wasn't really in the mood to clear a bunch of fresh deadfalls...uturn practice.

This abandoned RR heads towards somewhere I didn't want to go...just stopping for a look.

Same line...different area.

The edge was getting too overgrown with briars in places so knowing that it's a dead track, the center seemed like the better place to be.....

...had to stop and clear some branches anyway.....

Came across this unmarked crossing.....

....and found an old shack.

the bunks make it look like it was last used as a hunting camp

I have no idea what that means.

It came out at some sheds and a locked gate so I figured it'd be best to get out of there.....

I suppose it was cleared farmland at one time?

...back across the other side of the tracks it looked a little less traveled....

None of those trees are too big around so maybe this was all farmland not too very long ago, or maybe it's just an old logging track?

It just dumped out on a powerline.....

...but this creek crossing looked like more work than I was up for!

That's all....doubled back to the tracks and where it crossed the next road I just brought it back to the house.
