That poor yeller Duck! I hope the rider learned to pay attention.
The damage may be light{cause Ducks are tuff!} but, if the guy took it through the process, it would be a total.
That's how I got my ST3.

Seen here as Fixed. Really all I had to do was repaint the panniers in matt black, add 2 black after market mirrors from E-bay and replace the clutch lever.
I was happy for 1300 miles until a dip-wad in a miuni-van turned in front of a car, who hit the dip-wad and sent his minbi-van slideing into my bike sitting motionless beside a gas pump while my buddy was filling his bike.

I'd be bitter except for the check from his insurance company for twice what I have into the Duck, plus I retained said Duck . Plans for it are , a gravel road capable side hack with car wheels all around.
Oh yeah , I rode it home after it got smacked down, tuff Duck .

Got the old DR650 ready for the Nottarally but now I need to do a little bit of work to the truck, shouldn't put me too far off schedule though, I hope.

Here's a spotwalla link for the weekend, hope to get up to Hot Springs by lunch time Friday. Ride some 4x4 trails in the afternoon then again on Sat.

Rare to see a Duc owner make out on an accident.
But glad you wasn't mounted!

Well, the old DR650 and my truck both needed some last minute work before the Nottarally and I'm happy to report that we all survived the weekend!

Rolled into camp around 1PM and unloaded the bike and headed straight for the woods.

PineyMountainRacing saved me a spot in his campsite which happened to be just across the street from Reddog* and Half-Pint....little did I know that I'd soon be meeting up with PMR and HP out on the bikes....

Still just a hint of color change here and there....

First pit stop @ Wolf Creek Falls very near the NC/TN state line...

Pic quality not so good.....decided to carry the old Sony and I really struggled with exposures....

Beautiful place though.....

Just as I was getting ready to fire the bike back up I hear a couple of thumpers climbing the hill so I waited to see who it might be.....none other than my landlord PineyMountainRacing and Half Pint!

Yes...all my action shots really suck from this weekend...

After a chat they decided that they liked the sounds of what I was planning to ride even though it meant they had to double back towards Max Patch.

Naturally there's a bit more color at higher elevation as we were headed down the Gulf through the Martha Sundquist State Forest.

That camera seems to work better if you stop and take a picture of something that isn't moving!

All green down at the bottom of that run though....

Half Pint hitting the water on the little Honda 230

I accidentally took a video of a barn trying to take a picture.

Turn the volume way up and listen to the awesome thump of the mighty DR

...but after seeing some of the other pictures I took maybe I should have stuck to videos!
