There isn't a lot of contrast between the old and the new in the town of York.

The Redcoats are coming! the redcoats are coming!!

The crock pot is your friend.

That casserole looks edible, too.

Hang in there, Kevin. It gets better with every passing day.

I bought one of those a few weeks ago......made a couple of edible roasts with taters, carrots and onions so far.

It's still easier to just pay somebody else to cook and clean.

Guess what I just ate? Yep..leftovers!

That storm front moved through here overnight but didn't really amount to much rain or wind...temps today were about 25 degrees cooler than yesterday, back closer to normal.

I broke the chain buffer/slider thingy on the swingarm of the old DR650 last week...picked up the new one yesterday and changed it out today.

40 clams for that hunk of rubber! Not only that I discovered that all the bearings and bushings in the swingarm and shock linkages are totally shot. $$

Well...so I put it back in the shed to worry about for another day and went for another short local spin on the Strom......

Cool and gray...but dry.

The reverse angle reveals opportunity......

I stumbled onto the aftermath of a Christmas parade in Kings Mtn.

The murals are new to me as I haven't been through the old Main St. there in quite some time...will have to go back when there's not so much traffic in town.

Looks like somebody may still live here.....

....but this looked vacant.

weave!

Unfortunately my waistline could use a little bit of starvation!

Lots of wet weather here lately but at least we missed out on all the snow and ice. The sun came out after a good downpour this morning so I took another little spin around the 'hood.

This spot is less than 1/2 mile as the crow flies.....

I went back by this old farm house again to see what it would look like in different light/blue skies.

Then I underexposed some poor dairy cows.

Kings Pinnacle in the background....

Spooky.

Proof that you don't necessarily have to go all the way to the mtns to find a curve or two.
