Been up in Dennis Cove at the RDV since Wed night, no phone or internet service just a bunch of great people and some fun riding. Not many pics to show for it but you've already seen most of that from my scouting rides anyway.

Rode up after work Wed and grabbed an on the fly barn though.

Almost there...riding down into the high valley...

The AT crosses within a mile of camp...

Great weather on Wed but rain overnight, it let up that morning and most that were there to ride had already gone out before my schedules 10:30 departure.

Water volumes were up.

Lobby rode up from Texas on his new geezer-glide. (he's a previous owner of my Strom)

Feo and Pansy rode down from Illinois too.

I don't know why they're looking at me funny?...pretty sure I took a shower and brushed my teeth.

About noonthirty 4 of us decided to head over to the Hawg-n-Dawg for some grub. It was sunny when we left camp but soon turned to rain that set in for the rest of the afternoon. I missed a turn while trying to get us there on paved back roads and we ended up riding 10 miles on I 26 in a storm with 30 mph cross winds just to make up time.

The did quit in time for a campfire later that night though.

Heading out of camp on the 'easy road'

I had about a dozen bikes line up to follow me on both Fri and Sat. We by passed the dirt road leaving camp that day due to reports of lots of slick mud....it was still a bit slick that afternoon in spite of nice weather.

I got to be 'that guy' again...on my own ride. This year it was just a flat tire though....but it took two string plugs to stop the leak! They stayed in and got me through Saturday's ride and the trip too.

There were a few that did some more intensive maint. work in camp though...

Camp was pretty full by Fri afternoon too.

We braved the mud on both ends of Saturday's ride....

..and the only mishap of the day was a rider that forgot to put his kickstand down at an overlook.

Overlooking vineyards from the lunch stop...accidentally bumped the camera onto the 'fisheye' setting.

A quick visit to Watauga Lake Winery...it occupies the old schoolhouse built by the CCC in the 40s.

Yeah...we took plenty of rest stops that day.

Land being beautiful as we all packed up to leave this morning....

Feo and Pansy all geared up for the ride back to IL.

Land, Bandy and myself rode a few sweet twisties and had lunch in Pineola before dropping off the mountains and continuing home....

Cell service!

That's all I got.

Cuttle and company did a great job organizing the event!
