OT: Best pizza in Denver votes needed.

So I want to shamelessly plug my favorite pizza joint for a totally loaded reason.

Original Pizza in Broomfield is a little family owned spot I've been going to for years.

This past winter I was laid off and the owner refused to charge me for any food until just recently. On the surface he seems like a mean NY jerkoff. Underneath he's putty and one of the most giving persons I know.

And his pizza is friggin awesome!

And (here comes the loaded part) right now he's competing in Channel 7's "A-List" competition for "Best Pizza in Denver"

SO... I'm asking you to go try his pizza, or just take my word for it and...

VOTE HERE

This may seem like a cheapo move, and I do feel a little hokey asking, but Raffaele (Ralph) and his family are awesome folks and serve wonderful east-coast pizzeria food and deserve some recognition.

p.s. Hayduke and the rest. If this is totally out of line, please delete it instead of moving and remind me next time we meet and I'll buy you a beer.

p.p.s ...if you leave it and remind me and I'll buy you bacon and beer.

Wow, I didn't expect a reply even!

Heck, I'll even offer to buy anyone who goes in there to try their pizza a beer if you tell me in person.

If you feel like it , tell them Jarrod (with the mini cooper and the motorcycle) sent you.

Hoowah.

I voted for them. They really are my favorite pizza in Colorado. I grew up outside of NY NY.

Since I can't honestly vote for a pizza I haven't eaten......

I'll stop in for a meal tomorrow. Any place that treats my friends well, deserves my patronage. Jarrod, ya shoulda spoken-up earlier.......think of all the tasty meals I've missed, demmit!

I'm sure it's good, vote has been cast. Will I get news from the TV station now? I did this before for an inmate, and now I get daily Quilting newsletters in my email.....

I voted for them just for the way they treated you. I even work for a different pizza place, but I will try this place in the near future.

Rockies rock!

Yeah, you gotta register. I'm not a fan of that either.

No, I don't think they'll send you news now.

Clark, definitely tell 'em I sent you. Watch out though, you and Ralph might not get along without going in with the proper mindset. He puts up a really tough exterior.

Yes, they're definitely closed Sunday. They're New York Italian Catholic Americans. ...enough said.

Thanks all of you, including the ones that didn't post here about it.

Maybe I'll buy all of you beers next Saturday over pizza if you show up for lunch. (more on this later (Os' idea (sorta)))

Yup, Jarrod.....he sure does put up a wall, and I'm not so sure he cared for me one bit when I walked up to the counter to order. I said that rumor has it that they make a great pizza, so I was there to have some. Damn tasty! Ralph took my money at the register, and I looked him in the eye, thanked him for a great meal, and for helping look after my friend Jarrod. That got an honest smile outta the tough-guy! He even said, "God forbid YOU should have tough times, but come here if ya do, and I'll feed you, too."

My vote is cast, my belly is still full 5 hours later, and whenever I'm paying for pizza, I'm gonna go see Gruff 'Ol Ralph!
