BMW Rallye 2 Pants - Can't find them!

So I'm getting ready for this Death Valley trip over Christmas vacation and I have a lot of gear to buy. After way, way too much research, I decided on the BMW Rallye 2 jacket and pants. My local dealer here in the San Jose area had the jacket in my size, but not the pants.

No biggie. I'll just call around to one of the many BMW dealers in NorCal I think to myself. Surely someone will have them in stock. Nope. In fact, all of them had a set on backorder, one of them for the past 2 months. Yarg!

My question - does anyone know where I might be able to find a set before the end of next week? I figure if the dealers all have them on backorder, I'm SOL, but just thought I'd give it a try.

Rallye 2 Pants Black/Grey

Size 44

Thanks all,
Joe

You might try BMW of Salt Lake at 801-936-4600. They had a few pairs last time I looked. You can email them at "bmwofsaltlake.com"

Nope.

Thanks for the reply. Just called them. None in size 44.

Are there any dealers in the U.S. that tend to stock a ton of riding gear?

I am sure you don't want to get into the calling every dealer routine, but if so ibmwr.org has a list of all the US dealers.

my local dealer, bmwma.com , had some Rallye 2 stuff, but I have no idea about sizes. Good luck!

Also nope...

Just spoke w/ bmwma.com in Atlanta. They are out of them. The gentleman in parts explained the nation-wide backorder situation in more detail. Unless there is a pair sitting around some dealership unnoticed, I do believe I am hosed. I'll have to see if I can squeeze into the 42's or I'll just buy Savannah pants or the like.

Thanks anyways.

Bought some anyways

This morning I tried on the 42's and they fit decent, but just a little tight. Tried on some 44's (in red) and they seemed perfect. Just went back to the dealer on my way home from work and tried on some 46's. It actually looks like they will work fine after all, just a little too long. I can deal with that. So now I've got my matching pants.

So thanks everyone for the suggestions. I'll throw my Rallye 2 observations up after I've ridden this weekend and on my DV trip. Now where did I put that 300 page instruction manual for these things?....

Later,
Joe
