life is good!!!! again!!!

I am usually able to work a 4 day work week and with the slow econmy
40 hrs is all we can work and I am glad to have the 40 on a regular basis!!
Anyway, today after getting all the kids to their respective places, I got home and fired up the 640 to head out some fs roads!!!

the usually suspects were out and about!!

I headed out for some fresh asphalt and a nice waterfall to start the day

I love this section of the etowah river!! great trout fishing just south of the bridge!!

Then it was on to dirt!!

people died to be in here!!!

more after some help with homework!! yeah they got homework on friday!!!

I never saw the rangers but something told me they were around!!

then down by one of favorite areas!! noontotalha(sp)?

sorry the focus won the battle here!!

just thought this was cool!!

back on the asphalt for a few!! I love north ga!!!

all was great till this guy!!! good and bad here killed my ride on that twisty section but atleast someone is building!!!

got around him and then on some quick gravel on my way to stanley creek!

headed out stanley creek and off to goose island and up to old ga 2!!

Hard to beleive that some people just do not get it!!

After leaving the lookout I headed for some lunch in ellijay. I took the reverse shot!

The usual old barn

I wonder if ktm makes a umbrella to attach to the rear rack??

Ellijay was a welcomed sight because I was hungry!

I was looking for a $5 footlong but it was being remodeled so I got a pleasent surprise and found JILLY'S PUB on the square this place was great!!!
I had a harp lager on tap and blackened mahi sandwich and some water ,all was awesome and I got out the door for 10 bucks!! This place will be on my list as a regular stop!!!

After that awesome lunch I headed for home to catch the kido at school!!
I headed out bIg creek towards old bucktown to see what all the whining was about. As usaul my opinion is a little different on old buckhorn! It is not a enduro course anymore but it is still one of the best fs roads in the area and the rocks are still there and I am glad the did grade it as it will be around longer!! Anyway here is some pics from the trip to the plane crash site behind amicola falls!

a couple of old bucktown!

Made it to the plane crash memorial and took some time to smell the flowers!!

Thats my short day ride from 9:00 in the morning to about 3:00 in the afternoon and 200 miles or so and alot of good therapy!!!

Haha, priceless!

Glad you took the time to take some pics, man. Looks like you had a well-deserved day out in the woods. I aim to do that later today myself I think.

Nice pictures and enjoyed your trip report. Rode around behind Amilacola State park last year and found the memorial. Also seen mother bear and 3 cubs. Thanks for refreshing my memory. Leaving for Colo.and Utah on the 8th hope to bring back some great times too.
