Must see places in NE Kingdom, VT/Northern NH?
I am planning on heading up to the St. Johnsbury, VT area (Lunenburg) from NW NJ for a few days (9/4-9/10) and am looking for some input on things to see in the area or on the way to/from. I'll be staying in Lunenburg and heading out on day trips around the area.
My list so far includes riding around the notches (Gorham area, Mt. Washington, Franconia, etc.) and maybe a ride up 105 over to Burlington and the islands. I know it's short notice but any advice would be appreciated.

The last time I was up that way I found that Rt. 102 on the west side of the Connecticut River was a pot-holed, bombed out mess. If your that far into the NE cross over to NH. and run Rt.3.
Vermont, being cheap, does not spend any money repairing back farm roads. Funny, I've ridden my 1150 G/s on just about every dirt road across the Green Mountains that I could find. But 102 could crack your teeth. BUZZARD II screwed with this post 08-31-2010 at 08:47 AM |
