In case you have never been to Russia, you do not know how does a beautiful girls look like ![]() And I've been waiting to hear "what does the sulfur mean?" It's something we use quite often in Poland. Ok, today I managed to get my pictures into a computer so let's go with the story!! |

Day 8 I again get up right after a sunrise. Had a good sleep and feel totally relaxed. This is because of my top secret exercises I do everyday It's not that hot and even during the day temperatures did not get any high. I am going to Ufa. I met extraordinary Tatars. ![]() They were quite drunk but VERY friendly so you can imagine it was lot of fun But besides fun it was also quite interesting for another reason. They are Muslims and they told me something like "We are Muslims, we don't care about white guys, we just want to live here in peace". Damn, it stayed for a long time in my mind. I've been travelling to Islamic countries for some years and it is always something fantastic Of course they had to try my helmet ![]() After some really boring days there started being some nice landscapes. Welcome to Bashkiria. I met a group from Moscow going to Baikal lake. They told me I was extreme traveller. No, I'm not. Am I? ![]() Distance: 500km Quote:

Day 9 And again: I get up before the sunrise. VEEEERY cold!! +it's getting windy+ some small rain. It sucks. Suddenly zip in my leather jacket works no longer This is so stupid (yes, you may call it sulfur), never thought that such small problem can cause that much trouble. I started riding through Ural mountains. ![]() Rather small mountains but I liked it very much!! ![]() I think I like it because it's very cold and there are heavy clouds - very special feeling. I don't know what to do with that jacket. Riding with "opened" jacked is not possible as it is really cold here. So I used some tape and for couple of minutes it worked really good. This is a picture I made for girls to show them how tough I was ![]() So pretty soon I was in Asia. Weeeeeee!! ![]() I still didn't know how to repair my zip so I thought to myself: "Maybe I could wear something ON my leather jacket?" And so I did. If you want to say something stupid about this idea - just shut up ![]() Distance: 485 km |

Day 10 I love sleeping like this. Some years ago it usually took me a lot of time to find a proper place to sleep but not anymore. When it starts getting dark or when I feel I do not want to ride my bike anymore I just park my bike 10 or 20 meters from the road and sleep there. ![]() I am going to Omsk but it seems I will not get there today. It's not hot anymore, roads are very good, pure pleasure. For the first time during this trip I added some 200-300ml of oil. Another example of Russian sense of humour: ![]() Damn. I will probably have grandchildren before I get to Mongolia. My zipper worked today a bit but now it's totally KO. And it seems impossible to find someone who would get me a new one. Distance: 413km |

Day 11 This is another boring day on the road. (fantastic book!!) I remember some time ago Sambor wrote about Russia: "Maybe it's exciting for you but for us it's boring". At that moment I thought he was crazy But now I understand.. But I am still practicing my singing. I don't really think it gets any better but at least it's fun. Does anyone of you know Alexander Abreu? What a fantastic voice! In the very morning I met three off road cars from Slovakia going to Vladivostok ![]() Some hours later I met two guys from Spain going to Mongolia, then back to Russia to Vladivostok, South Korea and Japan That is a pretty long trip!!![]() They rode quite fast so I decided not to join them. Distance: 549km |

Day 12 Mosquitos did a real massacre on my face during the night. It seems there won't be any sleeping without tent any longer. This is another day of hundreds kilometres with not much to see. You just ride and have all day to think about whatever you want. ![]() Sometimes nature is a bit different and you feel a bit like in....... Scandinavia? I don't know. ![]() And another example of Russian sense of humour: ![]() Distance: 429 km |

I like the zipper fix.
I once fixed a flat in a tubeless tire with superglue and some sand. It was all I could find in the little shop and it actually worked until I could get out of BFE.
