Any reason is a good enough one to hit the road. Not literally of course.

Some nice classics in those pics. Seeing that gl650 reminds me of the days when I was 15 and would sneak out my dads cx500 at night when he was at work. He use to put a chain around the swingarm. No big deal until he started putting it thru the frame. Never did mention that to me. I will have to come out and ride with you guys just to look at the bikes.

C'mon out and check us out on the website, search CJMC and check the schedule. We have a ride coming up in the Gold Country. Unfortunately, I'll be missing that one.

This is going to be in your area too, don't forget your camera.

Nice old bikes and Beautiful roads. It's great to see them being used.

That pennytech backrest looks like a head rest from a car. Possibly a European car like a Saab or Audi? What'd I Win?

Ding-ding, we have a winah! It's from a Suzuki Sidekick. You win the admiration of KLR owners. And an atta-boy. Collect 50 atta-boys to become a man amonst men, but one "aw-sh*t!" wipes the slate clean.

Today we went to Big Sur, just south of Carmel. We were a little concerned about the Concours De Elegance at Pebble Beach causing traffic, but it didn't delvelop. This is the reason I changed out my front tire, don't know if it comes out, but Highway 85 has some really deep rain grooves and cause a very un-nerving feeling as the tire skates around.

We got together and discussed the route.

They players..Bonnie

CB350 Four..

Gl500

CB750 with trailer..

Yamaha FZ6R

CB750

A W650..

And of course, the Mighty Tempter!

We head north on 85 then west on 17, lot's of CHP around too, but it's only for a short time as we hit Bear Creek Rd. Much better.

We get to Summit and then the little store there..

Weather is looking dicey, hope it holds out, no call for rain.

Photobucket is weird, keeps freezing. We get to highway 1 and take a detour around some road construction. The fields on the left are strawberries and the aroma is wonderful, like strawberry shortcake!

The power station.

Here are some of the great things of being here...

I decide to cut the return back to the slab and the others return the reverse way we came.

Going over the hill on a sunday afternoon may not have been my best moment.

I make it home in time for dinner and just over 200 miles on the bike. Amazing that on this trip the last gas stop only took 2.1 gallons with 132 on the trip.

New tire work better? Great shots. Makes me anxious to get mine ready to ride out of town.

Yep, no more queasy feeling while the Spitfire followed the grooves. Guess it kept bringing me back to my get off. Still skittish on gravel roads too. Post a report when you do get out.
