Landing on her head on a stone doesn't seem to have affected her sense of humor. Rock on, Jen!!

P'raps.
I was told I fell out of the back seat of a car when I was a toddler. I've used that as an excuse many times.

Cool! Must've been a(nother) tracker glitch. I've come to expect those already.

I realized earlier that her results don't necessary show up at the right time, but a bit later her results are added in (transponder trouble?)

Looks like other riders are taking 40 to 45 minutes to go from WP9 to WP 10 - fingers crossed Jenny should pass through in around 15 minutes or so .............

Rather impressive that she was that much ahead of the experienced Simon Pavey for a while, but this is too early in the race to speculate. Many more difficult stages ahead, and much can happen in the field in the shape of crashes, technical fatigue failures etc. People in the rear ranks with much experience may gain much later on, when less trained/experienced folks start suffering from fatigue etc.

Main thing is that Jenny is doing a very good race so far - for a debutant! Impressive effort! Now stay safe and within your own abilities, Jen!

Talking Go Jenny

Glad to see her still holding 105th place - the reason that it took a while to update and that it appeared that Simon Pavey had overtaken her was that they're racing the clock - Simon's actually physically ahead of Jenny, but against the clock she's ahead of him, so although he crosses the way point before she does and may move up the leaderboard on doing so, when Jenny crosses, the board updates and places her in whichever position she's in - simples!

Go for it Jenny, We're well proud of you! Simon and Halina

I expect she's already cleared the stage finish line but her tracker thingie has been messed up all afternoon, not showing her position until a while after later finishers finish.

Yep, suspicion confirmed. Jen finished the stage in 119th position (preliminary).

WAY TO GO JMo!!
