Nice bearing packer, too.
Fear not, ye of little faith.
JMo & Piglet will be back before we know it. She can use the winter for rehab while feeding Team F5 with hard-earned knowledge from inside the Dakar.
Just see how well Charley Boorman came out of the 2006 Dakar after crashing. In fact, I wouldn't mind attending a rider course in Wales with Jenny and Si Pavey as instructors.

That would be an honour and privilege, say I

Anybody know what horsepistol she's in and if there's any way to send a bunch of posies, or something?

Unfortunately my Internet has gone down tonight. The modem has broken. ( tonight of all nights !!!!) but I have iPhone so should be able to update you all.
My Internet should be back up in 48 hours.

Thanks for the update! Do you know if the ASO are covering the operation costs?

I have a direct line to her room. She is not back yet.
Her family also have her direct number so she will be sick of hearing from us in the uk.
If you guys want to send flowers or a piglet toy I know she would be really pleased.
I'll leave that one with you

Having spent too long in hospital after a big off on the bike I can tell you that any surgery is traumatic. I dread to think what it is like in a foreign country without friends and family around.

Nice thought.

Katie can we do anything to help her stay become a little more bearable ?

Jenny - thinking of you, fingers crossed the surgery goes well and we see you up and about as soon as possible.

I've had to do the away from home hospital repair before and it's absolutely horrifying to be alone and in pain.

Is anybody on their way to be with her?

I've been thinking about that all day. That would scare the crap out of me to begin with, compounded by the language barrier.

This is one respect where she and the other rally participants are probably MUCH better off in SA vs Africa. Still scary.
