Just been talking to Jen. She is out of surgery and feeling ok. She sounds tired and spaced out. One leg is broken at the bottom ( both bones)
They have bolted and screwed her leg. She did go into details but I will spare you all. She is hoping to sweet talk the staff to get to use the wifi in the ward and she has alittle laptop with her so she might be with us in Internet world very soon.
She has lots to tell. I'll let her tell you all.
Just to say she is out of surgery and in her own room she is in good hands. And I told her about all the support you guys have shown. I told her not to feel alone as adv rider and facebook is going crazy with support. She was so pleased and asked me to thank everyone who has helped her active what she has achieved !
Thank you

Let's hope it's different from heroes legend.. my friend Giovanni had to pay in advance for all the hospital and flight back home expenses. Then got refund in about 1 month. But it was 10.000 euro (in Morocco).. and they won't tell you this before you book the rally

Gutted to hear about JMO's retirement, I was another avid (if silent) supporter. Hope she recovers quickly and fully and can find the pennies to have another go next year.

I'm late to the following Jenny game, but that brings a tear to my eye. Thank you Katie em for keeping us in the loop and +1 on what others have said about the surgery, compounded by the being-in-a-foreign-country aspect, compounded by the language issues associated, compounded by the nature of the injury.
Heal fast and tell great stories.

Katie em - many thanks for the updates.

Great news on Jenny

Jenny got a mention on the early evening Eurosport coverage - sounds like they are hoping to have a few words with her in the late evening show (10.15pm on Eurosport UK)

Jenny Morgan from Hospital

Okay, guys. Here it is. I may break it up later into "topics", but here's the whole enchilada. I don't think Eurosport will give you 20minutes of enthralling JMo story telling, direct from her hospital bed in Chile (much as I love them, and Carleton, feel free to use the material (a shout out would be splendid, thx)).

We get the story of her crash, care and transport, surgery, and her current situation.

Grab a beer. And THANK YOU, Jen. Get well.

Good to hear everything went well in the hospital, and Miss Morgan sounds in very good spirits. Wishing her a speedy recovery.

Relax - He's probably having a whale of a time partying the nights away whilst Jenny's not around

But I'm sure he wants to get her back soon
