well actually got around to test fitting the sachs forks.
![]() so close its scary ![]() all its gonna take is milling out the bearing race a little ![]() and shaving the perimeter of this to apply pressure to said bearing race. ill probably have to cut some knotches and make a special tool to tighten it but no biggie. ![]() then just a small spacer to cover up the 1-2 mm worth of thread that will be exposed. the bottom bearing race and sachs steering stem all fit perfect.

got in some new shocks today.
ill be ordering another set buy i wanted to make sure everything cleared and lined up before i spent the money for 2 sets. yeah they are just shitty little chinese shocks but on a bike that weighs all of 130lbs wet i figured it would be fine. ![]() ![]() ![]()

i sat down and tried to figure out an end look with the parts i have now.
the drawing isn't amazing but it gives you an idea. ![]() also me and a friend where just chatting and he brought up a good point. that swing arm stand out against the everything else being so tubular. so i ordered an early ke100 swing arm and am under-bracing it to match the beefy tube everything look the bike is developing. plus they run like $20 delivered so why the hell not right? ![]() going for a look like this.

swing arm came in today.
![]() so how hard will it be to swap it in? ![]() well that was easy! ![]() bracing on the swing arm made of pvc and duct tape.....im sure it will hold ![]() ok so its just a super quick and dirty mock up to see how it will look. ill be designing the final one tonight. maybe even an upper and a lower brace. EDIT: also yes that was a direct bolt on. its about an inch shorter than stock but everything still lines up.

That might actually work better. If the shock mounts on the swingarm are closer to the pivot vs the stock ones it might raise the rear end a little, and your front end seemed to be a little taller then stock, so it might even out.
