On the road again.. somewhere north of Adelaide at the moment and it's been like riding in a furnace. Riverland tomorrow, then Melbourne in a few days. Stay a week or two with the daughter and then home to the sunny coast.
Haven't ridden long distance in over a year.. loving it despite the heat. Charlie knows how to look after me.

You know it's hot when the bindies won't touch the ground!

I just rode my son's bike back from Orange. Little CB250. Seller described it as "benign". It's more bike than I started on but it won't inspire him much past his Ls, I suspect. At least he doesn't owe anything on it. The vents in the jacket I also bought kept me alive for the trip I suspect.

Dehydration is a bugger. Rode in 40 degree plus heat a couple of weeks ago. Had to hang out in a service station eating icypoles and drinking cold drinks for about half an hour so that I could continue on. If you open the visor for fresh air it feels like a blowdryer straight in your face drying out your eyeballs.

Will catch up soon

Are you going to go to the Adventure film festival in Bright on the 14th Feb on your way back to QLD?

Also dries out the boogers up your nose
Not sure when I will be going up. If the festival costs $ which I assume it does then no prob not. I am living by the seat of my pants and the grace of my family at the moment. Lol I forgot my toiletries and underwear Daughter says no worries she will buy me lots when I get there haha.. be stinky by then! She might throw me back out! I have found one pair and I have my lovely padded bike pants that are soooo sexy (not).

No problems, at least you have two pairs. What you do is wash the ones that you had on today in the cabin, then tomorrow hang them off of your bike somewhere while you ride along and they will dry in no time.
