Seems a bit Doh ..
Take 18 off the FJ and the Pajero, throw in resale compared to a dunnydoore and you get an idea why.

That FJ was doing brisk business out through Mt Glorious and Brisbane Valley Hwy last weekend when I rode through there.

I have a recollection of the cops here doing a deal with HD re a fleet of bikes. Something about a guaranteed bike back price after so many ks/years and then sold through a dealer. Win win so to speak.

I think the problem was the bikes were not liked by the guys that had to ride em and so they went back to Hondas. Then they moth balled the bikes altogether only to dust en off again a few years later. I kid you not. Now there are cop bikes everywhere again.

I believe that was in the early 80`s, after they got rid of the Guzzi`s.

I remember the cops didn't want to ride them, reckon they felt like CHIPs, also any decent jap 2fiddy i.e RGV250 would blitz em any time, be interesting to find out where they all ended up ( maybe recycled them as mooring weights for the America's Cup )
