Regardless of brand, and shell and bp are my proffered option, ensure that filters are changed regularly, especially if it's late model common rail diesel. Not sure what vehicle you have but cleanliness is the key in all late model common rails. Correct fuel, correct oil and continually keeping air intakes clean will keep it in the best shape.
