Not enough riding...

There's a spot not far from my place, in an 80 zone, where the local radar camera man parks his car with the flash-for-cash machine set up next to the road. About a month back someone cleaned up a 'roo one night, just twenty metres down the road from that spot & a few days later I drove past to see that during the night the dead 'roo had moved... to right where the camera man parks. I just had to get a pic of that when next I passed as all the nearby locals think it highly amusing & a good idea we all wish we'd thought of.
![]() Then, about three weeks later, when it had it almost disappeared (foxes & decay), another dead roo appeared on the same spot. Probably another road kill that's been moved. I was working away for a week & on returning saw that the latest one has been removed, would have been pretty ripe after the fine weather of late. Quite amusing, be interesting to see what happens next...

What a day
Had a 13yr kid race across 3 lanes of stopped traffic - past the front of a stopped bus not realizing i was coming along on the inside lane . His leg ended up stuck under my front wheel with him squealing in pain . I had to reverse off the poor fella . Not good but lucky he hasn't lost his leg , is young and will heal .. His mates n girlfriend all saw it and where pretty shook up - as was I . Not cool . Beers help .

I`ve seen a similar thing around SE Qld, although not with a dead animal. Flash-for-cash vans hide behind sound barriers and some enterprising mud carters have dropped a couple of loads of dirt right where the vans set up.

Interesting result of budget cuts in Tassie, majority of speed cam vans have be operated by private persons, most were dumped in July, resulting in a drop from 3000 per month down to approx. 300 fines.......department is no longer publishing statistics........

Hi guys,
Is there anybody in Bendigo, Vic? I'm thinking of buying an old bike from there. I'd feel more comfortable to drive there with a trailer, if anybody could pre-inspect the bike. Of cause, not for free :) If you are in Bendigo and have some technical skills, please PM. Thanks :) HEKOT screwed with this post 10-23-2012 at 08:11 PM |
