Possible side effects, deeper voice and hair growth; I`m sure all the girlies want that.

Bugger! They gave you a good feed and always had the visor cleaning gear at the front door, very motorbike friendly. They only just moved into that building too.

They were still open 3 weeks ago when I was bringing home my new toy, called in for lunch..

cyclone sandy in the states

Hey Guys
sitting in the hyatt hotel in morristown NJ.. there is a bit of rain probably had about 1.5 inches since last night
there is no water running down the gutters on the streets
got into the states from dubai for the first time in my life and its a bloody cyclone coming in to as well..
used to cyclones as i am from Cairns in Oz,,
if you listen to CBS news you would think NJ,NY,Long island etc were doomed...

the news broadcasters are so full of shit and over dramatise the situation

sounds like there is going to be flooding in low areas due to the high tide tonight and the storm surge...

wind atm is blowing about 20mph and the rain is on and off...very few cars on the roads,,the visiblity from the 9th floor on the hyatt is about 5 miles..

good luck to anyone in the low areas...
reef

ps the wind just gusted to about 35 mph then and the rain is starting again,,vis down to 3 miles now

G'day Reefdog,

Currently holed up in a hotel in W48St Manhattan.
I agree with you re news broadcasters. Not too bad here atm but we will see what happens tonight.

We went for walk around Times Square etc this morning. All of the major stores and Starbucks were closed but plenty of small cafes and restaurants were open so no problem finding a feed. I think most were going to close early this afternoon.

Pity anyone who had flights booked for today or tomorrow as all flights in and out have been cancelled. We are due to fly out to Honolulu on Wed morning hopefully all will be back on track by then.

I might stroll back down to Times Square a bit later. Could be a rare chance to get some photos of it deserted.

Cheers

If it turns out as bad as some people are saying and worse than Katrina, how Obama handles the aftermath could be the making or breaking of him in the election. I`m sure, in the back of his mind he remembers how badly `W` treated the people of New Orleans, leaving them mostly to their own devices.
