Sacrificial anode corrosion protection, including active powered versions, is proven technology in many industries but if they don't do it right it's junk. Given the auto industry's habit of shaving a tenth of a cent off the cost of dashboard screws by not galvanising them and then wondering why people scream about the quality of their cars I doubt an auto maker would get an active anode/cathode setup right. Not because they can't, but because they're too damn cheap.

You are referring to impressed current cathodic protection, which these are not.

hehe yep. The difference is they have no idea what they're talking about. You do so you know it's bullshit, and even if the technology was kind of, sort of in the right direction, having a sales drone dribbling bs at you isn't gonna make it actually work.

I'm not disagreeing with you here, there's no point in spending big money on a cheesy box of BS. I remember the "energy polarizer" in that image a few posts back. Laughed myself silly when I found out about that thing and how Brocky bought in to it. I just wanted to point out that the technology for this concept (the anti corrosion one) to work does exist ... just not in that plastic box they're selling.
