I've played in Brass bands off and on for years, won a few state championships and a few national championships with various bands playing baritone, trombone and tuba. Currently taking a break as we have bought a farm and between that and shift work I was struggling to get to rehearsals.
Not as exciting as shooting or big wave surfing or rock climbing but fun none the less

Tried a bit of everything over the years,
AFL, Cricket, Golf, Tennis.
Kept going back to Golf though.
Haven't swung a club since the accident last year but I think I'll have an issue with keeping my left arm straight these days.

The caravan is the latest distraction and loving it.

I tend to ride my mountain bike a bit...

But also spend a lot of time jazzing things up with one of the three bands I am in...

In between working my business, looking after our two girls (3 and 5), etc!

It's been a long while since I did it regularly myself (injuries & not all bike related), now I try to coach junior swimmers. Kids are a great healer.

An analysis of this thread (after a decent amount of replies), will probably reveal a high percentage of adrenalin based pastimes when not riding?
Cave, wreck and mixed gas diving here, though I don't classify any of those as "adrenalin based past times". Raised heart rate and respiration tends to work against you in those situations :)

I also have been known to cycle, but I'm more of a POBSO, than a cyclist.

I'm pretty sure drinking beer is a sport, but apart from that I've raced speedway (cars) for the last 25 seasons.

Tempting fate with an unbroken stallion.

and my unbroken 2 year old Stock horse.

The last time i was in Victoria a mate took me ferreting at Euroa, what a top day out, after netting all the holes and dropping the ferrets under the net and down the hole, sitting back waiting and listening, then you hear the warning thumps of the bunnys,a few seconds later rabbits were shooting out the side of the hill into the net,top fun ,good chewing too ,i enjoy archery-bowhunting these days, nothing like seeing that arrow fly and hit its mark .
