[QUOTE=dirty dennis;22651622]Just got back from a quick run up to Townsville. The commercial at coonamble gets a big tick, reasonable pub rooms, good feed & lock up the bike in the beer garden overnight. Clermont Motor Inn was ok as well A bit exxie $ but you are in the coal fields so get ya wallet out! Went up to a pub near it called the Leo ( I think) for a feed. Wouldnt bother doing that again! Came home a bit closer to the coast & stayed at Miles. Unfortunately more of hte same as far as $ & food. Moral of the story is to avoid the mining areas, which is a bit hard to do in Qld at the moment

If we have a accomodation guide may as well shift this to wherever it needs to be[/QUOTE)

On the GTR?

Saw a Versys, transalp, GS650 and Magesty cop bikes in Cadiz today. Ive been lingering around the bike parking spots sniffing exhausts

Yep took the land yacht. funnily enough I reckon in some respects the 950 was more comfy. Maybee because you tend to stand more on dirt sections Whereas the GTR is something where you avoid the dirt!! Got a few vibration induced repairs to attend to today

She seems to think that even that is too good for me.

Well, OK, even she can be right once in a while.

There is not enough room for another tractor. He can squeeze in a few more old hondas.
There is some space for a bottle of Jack then it's full.

I'm not sure how many in here follow Sprintcar racing, but one of the icons of the sport passed away this morning after a long illness.
RIP Macca.

I was leaning against the bar at 1100 this morning with a cerveza in my hand, on an AVE train between Seville and Madrid. The olive and citrus groves flashing by. The train was doing a silky smooth 265 kph.

I kept thinking about the hume hwy and felt sad for my country.
