Yeah... I've got a few more updates over at http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/s...d.php?t=102746 but I'm planning to start a new thread here too. After all this is where it all started for me. Stay tuned.

I don't know how I missed this thread ! The thread started off with a cool idea and then you just impressed the hell out of me . It is rare for someone to have a vision and then back them up with fabrication skills . I think you will do well with your new business , and in the process inspire many more " backyard" builders . Hats off to you Sir !

Plans for Flying Merkel

Looking through the net for a friend of mine who wants to build a 1903 Indian replica I came across this site.

This is one awesome thread and I must give you lots of credit for such a nice build!

The Flying Merkel has always been one of my favorite bikes and unlike my friend who wants to machine the engine to very closely resemble the original 1903 Indian engine; I want to just build a look alike with a modern engine.

I seriously would like to get a set of those prints Rebuilder! I have a large format printer and between my friend and I; We have all the tools and skill to pull this off!

Please let me know when I can get a set. I would like to start as soon as possible as it is getting cold here in Indiana and that's when we like to build.

Hi James - I sent you a PM... which you've probably seen by now. I'm starting another one soon myself. Let me know what you need.

Terry.

Absolutely gorgeous! I've always loved those vintage board trackers...

This build is being featured in the BikeBuilds.net directory here: Rebuilder's Flying Merkel

We're currently displaying only a reduced-size photo (similar to what you'd find in Google Images). *We'd like to ask for your permission to publish the original full-size image with your build listing.

If anyone would like to have a build of their own listed, just send me a message with a link to the build thread and we'll take care of the rest.

Ken

Hi Ken - Feel free to use full size images. I can provide more if needed. I really need to get a better website but can you list the manufacturer as BTRbuilder.com? It's not much but at least it's a place where people can get a hold of me for info.

Manufacturer changed as requested. I hope you get a ton of pageviews from it - the bike is gorgeous!
