Never trust rubber, Happy. It'll let you down at the worst possible moment....

I'm using pelican boxes on my scrambler. Small one on the right to clear the exhaust, bigger one on the left. 1430 and 1440? topload. Both mounted solidly on home made brackets. I keep my tools and wet weather gear etc in the right one, and the left holds enough for one or two days travel. Totally water and dust proof to date. I havent crash tested them yet.

Did you pick these up from Bunnings recently?

I'm in Tassie too (South) and wouldnt mind a camera case.

I got one from bunnings at Kirrawee, NSW a couple of days ago for 65 bucks. They still have a few left.

Have you added tie down points to the top of your box?

How did you attach the box to the rack?

Cheap draw handles that i picked up while i was at bunnings. Just drilled holes and attached them with the screws provided with a bit of silicone under then to keep it all water tight.

I made up an alloy mount out of some old angle and plate i had around.

Black Box hard cases

These guys sell woodworking tools but I stumbled upon some hard cases.

They may be suitable for panniers, the small sizes would be good for cameras.

The store is Carbatec and they are in a few locations around Oz.

On another note, how do you rate your Mitas E-07 on the rear?
