KLR's do a short cruise to 7 springs

I thought I would do a quick trip up Seven Springs way before the Cards game. On the way I stopped at the Southwest Dual Sports Riders meeting at Dunkin Donuts to see if anyone wanted to go. 2 more joined the group. That made 3 KLR's ready to roll. (Actually we had 1 more on a KTM but don't know how we lost him? We saw you leave ahead of us at DD but never caught up with you... sorry dude!)

The goal was this...

First stop was the radar installation overlooking Horseshoe Lake. Very cool place and a very cool road up the mountain.

The lake was back to its usual low / empty.

This was a short time ago. The lake was full and free flowing over the spillway

Back down the mountain and on to Seven Springs. I'm glad to see the water is flowing enough to cover the road crossing.

A stop at Seven Springs. At least it wasn't hot anymore. Still not cool but it is getting there.

Well, time was running short for me. I needed to get to the Cards game! Sheeps Crossing will have to wait till next trip. Thanks to those that cruised along today! Till next time

Some people are like a Slinky.....not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs.

North on Pima to Carefree highway, turn Right towards the junction of Bartlett lake but keep going straight (don't turn right to Bartlett) towards Seven Springs. Before you get to Seven Springs watch for a tiny, pot holed, paved road on the right. That goes up to the radar facility you can see on the right as you ride towards Seven Springs. Seven Springs is few miles further. Keep going North 15 ish miles to a T. Right goes to Sheeps Crossing (my first pic in this thread) left goes to Bloody Basin and I-17.
