Charlie better recheck that gpx file.

Charlie,

Where are the worst spots in the road? Would it still be a problem to come in via Shores Lake with a 4X4?

As soon as I can get my copy of Mapsource to work properly and my brain, I will repost this. In the mean time Magoo may end up posting this as I have issues I dealing with right now at home. Check back later please.

If you are trailing it is impossible, maybe 5' wide at best with holes in the road that go to infinity. I wouldn't risk it. These are slides and as such are unstable. Use the alternate route we post. Besides there are road closed signs and the gestapo has been watching.

But, if you are riding in no problem.

NEWER, Corrected file!

On Charlie's behalf, here are the corrected, only reliable ways up to WR now for trucks with trailers or those without much traction. At the bottom is the corrected GPX file. Below is the map in 2 parts.

Is a slight alternate on State Hwy 348 ( from 71) okay as well?

348 should be good.

The roads do have "Road Closed" signs and the Forest Gestapo does watch.

Thank you, Zecat. I think we have a viable route.

From the south, come up 348 as is paved off Hwy 71. The route posted is from the north, and although part gravel, is solid and shorter. As a bonus, it does go by the "Bikini tree".
