Big Sky Little Scooter
I wish i had something epic and wise to say to draw you all in but all ive got is "You can't get lost if you dont know where you're going." This is kind of the mentality of the whole trip that im taking although there are a few planned stops none are on a time schedule. i have no designated route or even places that im planning on seeing im hoping that the sights find me. This trip is planned to be 90 days across america. going out of michigan via wisconsin then washington where a friend of mine lives. On to Oregon and Cali where i have friends as well. Im hoping to make it to florida then up the east coast where i have family that i havent seen for some years. all along the way that i dont have places to stay i plan to stealth camp as much as possible and cook my own meals with a stove that i brought all to keep the cost down
getting ready for this trip has been somewhat of an ordeal. i've rebuilt the cylinder, glued way too many broken plastics together, built a custom rack that i hope holds up and lots of other little things that have had me pulling my hair out for about a month now. Yesterday june 3rd was the first day of the trip even though it didnt feel like it. I only went to Kalamazoo Michigan which is only about 80 miles from home but I have some good friends that live there. I was most definitely not prepared to leave on the third but i had set the date and i was gonna make it happen, so i haphazardly packed and left the house with 3hrs of sleep under my belt. The trip to kzoo is a pretty usual trek for me no need for maps. when i arrived preparation that i hadnt done commenced bought some chicken frying pans for oil change at the grocery and a bicycle pump. I waited until ryan got out of work and changed both of our oil, his engine and my engine and final drive. we went to the bar after that and had some beers hung out with some of our friends that live around town. sorry for the shortage of pictures. I was stressed out the whole day getting shit around so i was not in the mood to carry the camera everywhere. more photos next time mostly loaded ![]() me and my bro right before i left ![]() odo right before i left. i cant believe ive put almost 10K on this little guy ![]() Just a regular overpass about a third of the way there ![]() most of the drive there looks like this, its pretty noninteresting ![]() my welcoming committee when i got to Kzoo. shes such a sweetheart

the trip to Grand Rapids from Kalamazoo is a pretty breezy ride but as exciting as something thats not very exciting, so not many pics of scenery. i will be in GR for two days. Theres is a rollerblading bbq that's on the 5th. ya'll will enjoy the photos to come of that.
i was pretty neverous about this whole thing before i left but now all that i can think about is how much i just want to be out there traveling and seeing things for myself. I have to hold myself back tho, i dont want to allow myself to get into a rush. I must learn to appreciate the moment. some road ![]() A log truck that nearly took me out. I wanted to get the photo while it was passing me but i wasnt speedy enough ![]() G-RAP ![]() Josh and Ozzy's. i'm sitting at their apt while they work ![]() sorry no photos of the night life. The camera is kind of a hassle to carry around, maybe some other time. photos of the Rollerblade BBQ to come

I'm in.
Andy, since you are headed north, is it safe to assume you are going to ride up the west coast of Michigan to the UP and then west across to Wisconsin? From there are you going across Minnesota to North Dakota or South Dakota? Just curious.

using a camera is nothing like riding a bike 6-5-11
haven't used my camera in probably over a year the outcome is that i am extremely disappointed in how all of the photos of yesterday turned out. almost all of them were completely fuzzy. either way here is just a few, just a few pictures of the box session and these are the ones you can kinda tell what going on.
