i believe the different spec in the stator from 92-93 may be from kick start to e start

i dont know about dr250 to 350 cdi but i do know the drz400e cdi works on my drz250 with one minor mod
i would guess the 250 to 350 cdi is plug and play there might be a different spark timing

there is a crank trigger, the coils just make the power

i have a 40 in near stock bike now and it starts in 4-5 kicks at 25degs

i plan on installing an old school supertrapp (it can with the bike) and a modded air box
along with a 42 pilot jet
The plug seems to be the right color (slightly tan).

*IF* you need to look into the stator and/or pick up coil, here are some links that may provide some help:

The carb gets removed/cleaned/rejetted 2-4 times a year for riding at different elevations. Last time it was cleaned was November and I've been having these issues for a much longer time.

I think we should all assume that Pablo has done all of the basic stuff. His problems are ones that the majority of DR350 owners will never face. In fact suggesting items like the kick stand safety is jsut a waste of cyber space.

Good luck to you. I always follow this post to try to learn things from one of the DR legends.

Nope. What does adding a second plug do to change the spark?

I did have one once where the carb had been tightened too firmly to the inlet manifold and had actually bowed the mounting flange leaving a small gap .

The O ring should take this gap up but after a few backfires a tiny piece of O ring had decided to bugger off and it was a bitch to start till I found it .
