I am going to check, but it looks like they have updated their web site to include the 'like new' verbage. I downloaded their entire public site the other day to parse for that phrase and I am quite sure it was not there before.

I was right, just got home to check and the old "policy" page changed the next day.

Sorry to hear of the troubles. After waiting six months for my new Renazco, I was so looking forward to a comfortable seat. First ride felt worse than stock and I was thinking back to how comfy my Sargeant had been on my K12RS. Fortunately the second ride was a bit better, but probably more due to changing my seating position, which made it less comfortable elsewhere. Got a long ride coming up this weekend - if not better, look in the flea market soon for a brand new Renazco.

Hey OrcasKen... if you don't want that Renazco seat let me know. I'd take it off your hands.

Thanks for the heads up. I am looking for a new seat, I will now take my business elsewhere. I hate shitty customer service, espically with sub quality craftsmanship. Then again I guess if you have a bad product you should reflect that in your warranty. Which I guess, is what they did.

Actually Sargent has great customer service... they sent me a replacement seat within a week. And so far it's much better, the foam is thicker and firmer than the first saddle.

Good luck!

Sorry to hear you don't like you Sargent seat. Everyone's butt is different and what is good for one does not mean it is good for another.
Hense ...lots of seat manufacturers and recoverers.
That fact that you don't like does not mean it is a bad seat.

From the picture it looks like you skuffed the seat pretty bad. That is not their quality issue.

They can not sell if for new now either. Who has lost the most you or Sargent?

My butt happens to like wide firm seats like Sargent makes...between two bikes I have over 60k miles. Very happy with Sargent.

My Sargent enduro seat has similar creases from the material bunching up while sitting on it, they're not scuff marks.

Mine does not, but it's not the same material.
And i don't think it looks bad. Kind of like a nice broken-in leather.
I went with the Vintek which is very much like the stock seat material.
