I have posted this on WARPED thread also. Hope it helps to the ones that consider getting one...

================================================== ========

I was one of the lucky riders who won something in the raffle last weekend. There were so many awards, gift certificates, clothing, etc. I did not won the big one, $500 Klim gift certificate, but I won the one I really needed and wanted, a new seat from Seat Concepts.

I was shopping around, checking the prices, getting feed backs from users. But of course the best was to decide on something is to try it. And I did...
I left my stock seat with Robert and Lendon at WARPED so that they can custom build it with the textured finished that I like and of course orange stitching... They give me the loaner, so that I can try it on my ride back home.
It was about 200 miles from my home to the camp. I left work at 5 and get to the camp around 9:00pm. It was a loooong ride for me, especially for my ass. I made up my mind on getting a better, more comfortable seat right after Death Valley trip last month. I knew I definitely needed something a bit wider where I sit, but not on the front. And something with a smaller step on the back for the passenger. And walllaaa, here it is.

I had over 250 miles back to home on Sunday. And I really felt the difference as I got home without a sour butt. I didn't have to move back and fort on the seat, nor have to stand up on the pegs as much. Honestly I dont have any other seat to compare it to other than the stock one, and I can say that it is way better than the stock seat.
Bottom line, this seat works for me. Not to mention I won it in a raffle...
Thanks Robert, thanks Lendon.

Review: Seat Concepts for R1150GS

I wanted a different saddle for my 2004 BMW R1150GS. The stock seat was fine for 200-300 miles, but then Monkey Butt set in.

I reseached available options -- Russell Day Long, Corbin, Sergeant and local custom shops. I saw that Seat Concepts was right up the road from me and the price was right. I spoke with Bundy who set me up with a new seat built around my stock seat.

It looks great (see photos) and feels even better. It's a neat design (the close-up photo may show the dots). It's wider in the rear and appears to set the rider back a few inches, which is nice. It seemed too plush to the touch, but is actually quite firm when sitting on it; very similar to a Corbin. Bundy states that it's a super secret memory foam (or not) and is different from what other seat manufacturers are using. That may well be, I just know that it looks great and feels good after a 300+ mile day.

Did a couple of "around towners" to test it out and it felt great. The true test was a whopper of a ride all over SD county, to include some off pavement stuff (yes, I dropped the pig).

I'm liking it so far (3 weeks in) and would recommend the Seat Concepts saddle for the GS.

Side by side: Seat Concepts and Stock R1150GS

Here you can compare the two seats side-by-side: Seat Concepts and my stock BMW R1150GS saddle.

I received my carbon fiber seat for my 950 Adv last week. I was having problems getting it to fit. I emailed SC at 12:20 Saturday and received a reply within 30 minutes telling me how to do it. Now that is service! Thanks for a great product and customer service. That will keep you in business.

Question BMW 1150 Adventure seat

What about a 1150 Adventure seat? I can send you a spare, both regular and low( only one at a time) to prototype.

Thanks,
Dave

Yes the 1150 Adventure is a one piece long seat. Should be right up your alley!
