OK anyway we can get one of these for the new KTM 500? I have seats on my WR my 690 and my 530 (which I will probably sell). Now that I am spoiled I need one for the 500. I love these seats, the only issue I had was the 690 was a tad too wide where it transitioned to the front but a little work with a carving knife and all is well.

BTW, rode my 530 today with a Renanzco that a buddy gave me -- IMHO for the riding I do the Seat Concepts is way better!!

If touching the ground is your main concern, go with the short version. It is still better than the stock seat for comfort.

Is there a picture of the tall seat? How tall is it compared to the stock seat? Is it wider in the font or the same width and just wider further back?

500EXC seat

Got my seat yesterday and installed last night. Once again the fit and finish are top notch. I really like the look and feel of this seat on the bike. Now for the big test a test ride this afternoon.

Once again thanks for a great product!

I picked up two seats (and dropped off a third ) at SC a couple weekends ago...

Triumph Tiger 1050
This seat was literally hot off the presses (I think I got the second one). According to mxbundy, the Tiger seat features a wider and flatter (less forward slope) pillion area and slightly firmer foam. Even though the driver area is supposedly unchanged, I immediately felt a positive difference. Didn't really have any complaints about the stock seat, but somehow the SC puts me in a more natural position. The tighter cover also lets me easily slide fore and aft and left and right, where the loose stock cover required me slightly stand, move, then sit back down.

Last weekend I went on a ~700 mile trip around Death Valley NP and the seat was great. Never felt any hot spots and could easily make little changes to freshen up and carry on. On future longer trips, I may try an Airhawk or other cushion just for some added height to relieve the knees.

Haven't gone 2-up yet, but my wife tested it in the garage and said it def felt better.
That will be the next test...

KTM 9X0 Adventure, Tall
My 950A came with a stock stepped seat, but I swapped that out for an early flat seat to allow me to move around more off-road. Over 60k miles later and my only real complaint is that the V shape means you always slide to the same position. Sometimes that position is fine, but if I want to sit forward (for cornering) or back (for interstate) then it takes effort to stay there. Also would be nice to have a little more room from seat to pegs. The SC tall seat looked like it would address these issues.

I honestly haven't had a chance to ride with this seat yet. It feels great just sitting on it, but I think the extra ~1.5" may be a tad tall for urban errands. Should be much nicer on the knees for longer trips, though. Transition from sitting to standing is also much easier. Not sure yet if it is as flat as I may want fore and aft, but there is plenty of foam and cover material available to do some shaving and make adjustments.

Just curious if you are doing these seats yet? I have an extra TA pan if you need to borrow. Thanks

I'll be ordering a seat for my 690 SMC as soon as I have this figured out
