Super Enduro Seat

Just ordered seat concepts for my SE today. How do you like it? Any long rides yet?

How is the low seat for the R1200GS coming? I have a low pan if you need it.

Terra seat

Hi -

See you have the seat on your website but no pictures or comparison to stock: could you post some more info?

Thank you!
Paul

I just got home at 11:00 p.m. last night from a 1,600+ mile trip through Baja. About 2/3 off-road. My Buns are pretty happy. Maybe that's why one of the Seat Concepts maestros is called BUNdy.

Options

SC has good descriptions of the vinyl options on ther website but I'd like to hear from actual customers why they picked any one of the vinyl combinations for their seat. Myself, I can't decide. For the seat top I like the function of the gripper and the looks of the embossed. Is carbon more durable than embossed? Does carbon really offer that much grip? Will embossed look tattered and worn in 2 years or less? I'm pretty much convinced that I want plain vinyl on the sides. Thanks.

Depends on what you are putting it on...Before I begin I have to say that the seat on my DR650 is super comfortable and I plan on doing a many thousand mile trip on it this summer. But here are my cover observation.
On the DR the gripper top is too grippy, on my enduro bike I am sure I would love it. But too hard to move around on the seat for a streetbike. I got the carbon sides and I am not sure how long it will last. I literally have maybe 2000 miles on it and it has a lot of little nicks on it. Nothing that goes through the cover but on the outer "layer" of the vinyl cover. If I did it again I would just do plain vinyl on the whole seat for a street bike.

This seat was built for Footdragger I believe. Moments ago, I ordered the same seat with reversed colours so the black sides will flow into the black tank shrouds/ Clockworks tank on my 530.

Ordered a seat for the Adventure Piggy yesterday. Still trying to figure out if I want to spend $20 on a staple gun or on finding an upholstery shop. Either way, I can't wait to feel the difference

It was fun doing it myself, and I just used a regular staple gun, me powered.

Wondering about the Triumph Tiger 800xc.
Anybody have one made?
Pics & pricing?

I ride an R1200GS with a factory ADV seat set low/rear high/front. The factory seat has some 'grippiness' to it which I've become accustomed to. The foam is beginning to feel increasingly soft, espesially on hot days. In addition to new, firmer foam I thought I'd get a seat which had little or no 'slope' in it. SC told me it would take 1-2 weeks to get a cover sewn with a gripper top since it's a non-stocked item. I'm okay with that, but would I be better off with a smoother texture like carbon or embossed?
