I was starting to install the new cover on my Tiger, and it isn't as easy as the videos make it look. The problem is the serious curve to the seat. What is the best way to do this? Any tricks I should know about?

I got my Seat Concepts Touring seat foam and cover for my DR650. It's my second seat concepts seat. I've gotta admit that I didn't do the install but left it to a local upholsterer in both cases and he did a great job.

Any way, took the Corbin seat off (which has over 50,000 miles on it) and put the Seat Concepts on. Took it for a little ride and it feels great. One nice thing about it is that the front is narrower than the Corbin so it's actually easier to stand with it than the Corbin. When I move up for the twisties or dirt it's better for me than the Corbin. When I move back into the touring pocket it is very comfy. I'm taking a little 3000+ mile trip in June and that will definitely tell if it has the long distance comfort that the Corbin has delivered.

I recently purchased my second Seat Concepts product, a complete seat for my 2012 KTM 350XCW. Very pleased with both seats and recommend them!

Get the cover good and warm, so its stretchy.
Do not use a heat gun, leaving the seat in the sun works best.
Take your time and stretch the cover in different directions until you find which direction will get the wrinkle out.
Also you will have to pull a few staples and restretch from time to time.
Some models are inherently harder to do than others.

I am considering your seat. I have had three try's of another well known seat maker, but they just dont work for me. And I an an enduro mountain biker, so I don't think my behind is that picky.
Would it be possible for you to measure the following on your tall f800GS seat. Measure from center, and aft of the seat, forward. Please measure with @ 14 inches,@ 19 inches, and @ 24 inches. My current seat is 11 wide,9 wide, and 5.5 inches wide, at those stations. Thank you for your help.
At the 14" dimension it is 12" wide, @ 19 it is 7.5" and @24" it is 4" wide.
looks like our seat is skinnier when you are standing.
Our widest point is @12" s from the rear and it is 12.5" wide.

Is it possible to get one with blue sides ?
If yes , is there extra wait time or cost ?
Yes we can sew one up like in the pic from the DR350 thread.
That seat has the Yamaha blue gripper on the sides.
It is $20.00 for the custom color and it takes 2-3 days to order it in that way.

Thanks
Bundy

Yes the seat pan is different on the 800 GSA and our seat kits will not fit.

Thanks

Hello,

Do you sell complete seats for the drz400sm from your website? I could only find the kit? I really don't want my bike out if service sending off my pan... I'm 5'8" would you recommend the low or reg? I am pretty confident on the stock seat height wise and think I might feel cramped any lower...
Thanks.

Ps. I heard of a military and or LE discount? Is this true? If so this is outstanding and appreciated and if I can order the whole seat from you I will and prob the rack as well..

XR650R Tall

Got my new XR650R Tall seat delivered today I don't have time to install it yet but it looks SO much better than my GUTs seat in tall there's little comparison. The cover looks fantastic and Bundy thanks for putting your new Black SC logo on. I would have been fine with the Blue one but the black looks perfect on my red cover. Thanks for the super quick turnaround on the custom color. I'll post some finished pictures when I get a chance.

Thanks much...Scott

Another view, I went with the std height (I'm 6'2") and it seems to be perfect.

Installed

Got it installed today. Turned out great in-spite of my best efforts to mess it up. Looks a little better than my first picture

(Oh, and I LIKE the logo)
