Transalp meetup
Here's a snap of my bike (the red one) along with the '89 belonging to fellow ADV'er Bombsquad. He and a partner were passing through my area and were nice enough to stop by so I could check out his luggage setup. Thanks guys. The bike in the background is a 650 'Strom.
Ride safe and have a good time on your trip.

We just arrived home from the trip. What a great time!
It was great meeting you Frank. I am really impressed with the Transalp on an all interstate trip. What a comfortable ride. Give a shout when you head up this way. Steve |

I appreciate you and your crew stopping by. I've got a much better idea about pannier mounting options now.
Glad you had fun on the trip. We're leaving early Saturday morning and heading for Barbers to watch AMA Superbikes. Will probably slab the first 70 miles to Montgomery and then take the back roads to the track. Remember what I said about checking the riding at Cheaha Mountain. Not much traffic, crazy twisty roads, and the cabins/chalets/hotel rooms are very reasonable. Also not far from you. Ride safe and stay in touch. |
