Many thanks for the compliment. That shot was just dumb luck. I was photographing Delicate Arch at sunset and heard somebody say, "Wow, look at the moon." I saw it coming up and just hung around a while. I also snapped the first two on the way back down to my hotel. The last shot was taken the next evening. Just goes to show all your luck shouldn't be bad. ![]() ![]() ![]() Mike |

Snuck out yesterday, had a couple hours--cloudy, upper 40's
Antelope Island, sticking out in the Great Salt Lake: ![]() North off the island ![]() Took a couple gravel loops ![]() Over the ridge- these big guys were grazing ![]() Around the corner, these two were really close (but seemed disinterested with me)![]() ...About 20 yards, self portrait ![]() The most clear shot I got- still on the bike ![]() To the southeast, headed home

Between Idaho and Utah?
I have been in Idaho now for about 22 years. Lived in Salt Lake for 2 1/2 years in 1980-1982. Rode my motorcycle with a friend one weekend to Bryce and fell in love with the place. I have been back to Utah many times since leaving in 1982 both on motorcycles and in cars.
For me it's a toss up between Idaho and Utah for scenery. However, I believe Utah is the state with the most varied scenery of any state I have been in. From the Flaming Gorge area to the mountains to the canyonlands to deserts to the High Uintas ! I could spend months exploring this one state if I had the time! Great pics

Whew, no snow, no rain, no (paid) work today
--And for an added bonus, BOTH my boys were home. My 19 YO son just passed the MSF course in March, bought a Ninjet two-fiddy two weeks ago- so we were off......out to Golden Spike monument (no serious traffic, good saddle time for the boy, and me) Forward: ![]() To the side: ![]() to the rear: ![]() The boys at ATK- ![]() ![]() At Golden Spike Monument: ![]() If you've followed the thread, You've seen the backgrounds before- but the addition of the younger versions was great fun. THe boys did well.
