Thanks Bob

He'd like some in-n-out burger action (actually, he's craving mexican )

The last overlook is above Bear Lake with wife and son, looking south

Other views, east

down the road

To garden city, and this

Wow!
I was there in Sept, It was raining so hard I couldn't see the lake from the Pass.
No reason to stop at a scenic pullout when you can't see the scenery
Nice additional pictures.

I'm at 7700ft. My road is more groomed than it is plowed LOL. I puttered/paddled around in the mashed potatoes and mud on the 250 a little bit yesterday. More snow expected Wed/Thu.

The weather in the city lately has me seriously jonesing for a ride. Al

Thanks Jax-
Antelope island is a nice treasure, fairly well kept (but stinks to high heaven whene the brine shrimp are in their prime)

8K is up there, but should burn off soon- I'm glad I chose a home with a south facing driveway
I'm kinda hoping for some more snow (sorry man), several below average years have left us too dry-

Burger question

When staying in Heber City a few summer's back, I asked our hotel where can I find a good burger, they pointed me to the local bowling center. Holiday Lanes did not disappoint on the burger and shake.

Does the place still exist, and have you had a chance to check it out?

Thanks for a great thread Signal!

I'm near Heber and I've never eaten at the bowling alley. Guess I'll have to now.

Chick's is a popular spot. Lots of bikes parked in front on weekends. It's your basic greasy spoon diner. They have these huge deep-fried things they call scones but are more like sopapillas. Sidetrack cafe is interesting with some good food (try the chili verde) and a patio. The owner might sit down at your table and talk your ear off if she's not too busy. If not the dog will keep you company.

One of my standard afternoon rides is to go have pie and coffee in Hanna, over wolf creek pass. There are several fun dirty ways to get there in the summer, too.
