Great Photos
Great shots, Lived in Eagle for three years and I know the area well, have done a number of those same rides on 4-wheelers. The beauty never ends there. Back in Arizona now, but can't complain about the riding here either!

Nice report and pics.
This is a perfect example of why I like the day trippin' forum. Driving the main road thru Horseshoe Bend will present you with a dry dusty hole. Your report shows that getting off the main road reveals diversity and surprise. I didn't know there was a road on the west side of Banks. It's now on my list. Thanks. I always liked the old Horseshoe Bend road, even if it was always slipping downhill.

I have been there
I have a grandson who lives in Caldwell. I fly out to Boise from Orlando Florida twice a year. I rent a car at the airport and cruise the mountains north and south of Boise. I wish I could have a motorcycle with me but can't. Looks like lots of good 4 wheeling south of Nampa toward Silver City. The Idaho Hotel in Silver City was built in 1867 and looks like it inside and outside. In the saloon is even a picture of President Grant. I bellied up to the bar and ordered me a saspirilla. I settled for a diet coke. I love that area north and south of Boise in the mountains, and if I were younger and not already retired to central Florida, I just might consider that area of this magnificant country to spent my last few remaining motorcycle, 4 wheeling, and fishing years. Great photos, I have some of the same area I took in July. Have you ever eaten a burger at Trudy's in Idaho City ? If not, don't pass it up. That goes for anyone readying this.

Awesome pictures!
I was stationed out in Mountain Home AFB, Idaho for 5 1/2 years and these pictures are exactly why I am going to move back to the Boise area when I retire in only 11 1/2 years! I got sent to Seymour Johnson AFB, NC about 50 miles south of Raleigh with nothing for outdoors like Idaho has for about 4-5 hours away. I miss riding my dirtbike all over the Owyhee mountains and doing trips with all my friends on the back trails to Silver City. Can't wait to move back and take in God's awesome work! I'm from Illinois so this is another reason I love the west. Great pictures, thanks for making my day reading your trip report and at the same time making me miss Idaho really badly!
