Overkill and I on 9/17 - Video

This is my first attempt at video editing. After editing, I tried to find the song that I think matched the video. This is what I came up with in a hurry.

This gives some of you an idea of how I spend my spare time these days.

My own critique of this video:
1) Having the same camera angle for 7 minutes isn't cool. But that's what you get when I don't own my own video camera.
2) The song is very slow, but it matches what I feel for this right now.
3) The video is very long @ 7 minutes. I doubt people will watch the whole thing.
4) Some of the editing and such is lazy (done in a hurry).

But this is a taste of things to come. If someone lets me borrow a video camera, I promise good things ;)

I like the end result. But my videos WILL get better from here if I get my hands on a decent camera system.

I graduate this semester with an engineering degree, so once I start making "the big bucks" working at McDonald's I'll be getting some more toys.

I like what you did. Try working some natural sound of the bikes if you happen to have a mic on the camera.

Long cross fades without the dips to black would work well with the music track you chose. Possible a nice alternative to the frequent fades to black. Don't be afraid of longer dips to black too....lot's of drama.

When the bikes are traveling on pavement with the soaring orchestra music it really is good!!

Can you reposition the camera? Shooting ahead (where we are going) and rear and up at roughly 45 degrees (Let's see more of your riding buddy when he is close) would be cool as well.

Again, nice job...

Thanks for the suggestions. I definitely will be toying with it more. Unfortunately, that is my brother's camera. We only have one attachment point for it on my bike.

In the future, I plan to have a few of the HD versions of the same camera as well as a larger camera for having a few away from the bike. Consider this video a simple experiment for me with the few resources that I have.
