What are ADVRiders without the "salute"?
 A little mild that night, but it cooled off to -22F the next morning -  Above zero - tee shirt weather for Wheeldog, who has followed a dog team to Nome a couple of times in the Iditarod -  This was when I decided that studded tires were a better idea for riding the Alcan in the wintertime -  The KLR isn't known for great wind protection, so dressing warm is important -  Winter riding provides a change of scenery -   Walking can be more hazardous than riding in certain conditions, unless one takes precautions -  Winter also has its own special beauty to behold -

When it gets below 20 CELCIUS (68F) I start thinking it's getting a bit cold... You are all crazy...
I like my snow sissy style:  In this photo it must be around 15C and road conditions were perfect. I've ridden in near freezing temperatures a couple of times and it was scary!
