No thermostat on the 10, would be a nice feature though. Commute ranges from 20 minutes to an hour depending on route. Cheers, Dash

Hi Dash, a fair few competition-oriented bikes have grease nipples on the suspension linkages and swingarm. A pump or 2 of fresh grease after a snotty ride keeps the bearings smooth and pushes out any dirt or water that may have found it's way past the seals.
Otherwise, and especially if it's a new bike you intend to keep, there's a half-day of work replacing and repacking anything that takes grease or fork oil, as the factories not only skimp on the grease but they use the cheapest fork oil available. You shoulda seen what came out of the suspension on my XR.......... . Both ends.

New subject. Anyone in the ACT area want to go in for a new Garmin Rino 650? A full-feature GPS an 80 channel 5w UHF in one, currently $599 for 2 (2 for 1 deal)? The cost to you will be $299 for a unit.

No mount, at this price it is a bit bare-bones, but you get a cable to connect to the PC, an in-car adapter too I think, and a couple of other odds'n'sods.
No mapping, but Shonky will likely work (non-routable) and I have another "option" to try if I get one . Tracks4Australia works I'm informed.A mount is roughly $40 for the in-car jobbie, and a ram setup is peanuts in the overall scheme of things. I've already tried Touratech, and the local distributor has told me they don't have one right now but he has forwarded my request to head office, good service from this mob (unlike the last lot at Safari tanks, what a joke they were). |
