Got more chance of getting Imperial then Metric in Yass, so whatever is 7/16 in metric is what I wanted
It's just bush mechanic logic!!!

11.1125mm is 7/16", a 12mm washer would be fine

Well all my work on the clutch flew back in my face today,
bike only got 2km from home & started slipping, turned back & spent the arvo sorting the problem [I hope], fibre plates glazed up badly, bit of emery paper & hopefully is solved,
heading down through Cooma tomorrow, no trailer / no Bev, she's decided to stay @ home, & head over to Young for some grog tasting!!!!
Cheers

Breaking up from heavy traffic [trucks] ?????
pretty normal lately, out Wee Jasper road is pretty ordinary, most of the local roads are breaking up, typical of lack of money according to councils,
if they built them properly in the first place, maybe it'd hold together
Cheers

Worst example of road making to be seen lately, was fucked before it got opened for traffic, keeps people in work I suppose

Given the amount the government is being charged to construct a lousy kilometre of road, I'd say it's keeping a couple of construction executives in the style to which they have become accustomed. We pay through the nose, ears, anus, and skin pores for roads which are fucked the day they open them. The "repairs" that are happening on the Monaro Hwy are like a downgrade, the old surface is infinitely better than the new ones which seem as though they rolled some dirt, left it for a week to the traffic, then just sprayed tar on it.
I recall the Dunstan government in SA many years ago deciding that cheap roads were a false economy, so they just paid the money and got top-notch roads built. Those roads lasted for at least 25 years and were almost as good as the day they were laid, smooth, wide enough, well-designed.
You used to get what you paid for.
